We now have pressed 1,000 thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton, sateen sheets on all of the beds in our lodge rooms. We determined it was time to replace the forest green and burgundy sheets many of you well know with nicer, softer and more luxurious ivory sheets.

The decision to replace the sheets was actually made nearly two years ago. We researched the best sheets and made our purchase in January 2005. The sheets have been sitting in their delivery boxes since and were shifted between Meghan, Patrick, Karen and Tommy's offices depending on who had the most space.

Why nearly two years before they made it on the beds? Well, as it turns out, it was not a simple switchover. We had to purchase a new ironing press so that the sheets would go on beds sans wrinkles. However, this is no small press (13-feet wide). So to accommodate the new press, we eliminated our conference room and extended the existing laundry room to make it three times larger. Then we realized our little industrious washer was not adequate for the new more luxurious and heavier weight sheets. Therefore we needed to invest in a new state-of-the-art washing machine. Installing this new spacecraft-like washer entailed tearing up the concrete floor and adding a three-foot deep footing to place it on as it spins at 4 G's!

And now, in October of 2006, we have our new expanded laundry room and its accompanying toys, which means we can now wash, dry and press the wonderful new ivory sheets.

We hope you revel in their softness and warmth on your next visit. If you don't want to get out of bed in the morning, we'll understand and gladly deliver coffee, a warm scone and a newspaper to your room in the morning.
